CASE STUDY

Ricoh takes over Managed Print Services for SBB

SBB wanted to standardize the entire printing infrastructure at over 260 SBB points of sale, geographically distributed throughout Switzerland, within less than four months.

More than 2,250 units were rolled out during ongoing operation. SBB chose Ricoh as its partner because it was able to offer everything from a single source: from print server management to application and queue management. This was crucial for SBB to achieve the three main objectives for a new print server management system:
  1. Improvement of operational processes
  2. Increase of user satisfaction
  3. General reduction of printing costs

Ricoh has implemented a very professionally organized and pragmatically executed rollout. This forms a good basis for future cooperation. The improved integration of the service systems via automatic interfaces will make the interaction of the support organizations at SBB and Ricoh even more efficient. The Print2Me function, which has been introduced almost everywhere, promises an additional increase in efficiency and increased equipment availability, not to mention paper savings!"
