Ricoh named leader in Managed Print Services by Quocirca for eighth year running

Ricoh identified as a “global provider of technology and services to address the changing demands of the modern workplace”

London/Wallisellen, 16 January 2020 – Ricoh has maintained its leadership position for the eighth consecutive year in the Managed Print Services (MPS) market, according to a new report from analyst firm Quocirca.

In its Managed Print Services Landscape 2019 report* Quocirca notes that “Ricoh retains a leadership position within the MPS sector largely due to its multichannel strategy and global reach. It has repositioned itself as a global provider of technology and services to address the changing demands of the modern workplace and has expanded its offer beyond traditional MPS.” The report goes on to state that “Ricoh’s global reach and substantial direct service organisation places it in a strong position to serve large organisations and businesses operating across multiple countries/regions.” Ricoh’s MPS offerings operate under its Managed Document Services (MDS) portfolio. Ricoh works with its customers to adapt and optimise information processes to boost efficiency and address information security concerns.
Louella Fernandes, Research Director, Quocirca, says: “Ricoh has a broad services portfolio combined with strong credentials within both office and production print environments. Its ability to include third party devices in the MDS assessment stage via tools such as its Environmental Sustainability tool, as well as provide multivendor maintenance and support, makes it a good choice for organisations looking for a single provider across an array of business process solutions and IT services. The company has also launched platforms that incorporate advanced analytics and workflow capabilities to support the new digitally transformed workplace, and is targeting singledigit growth across the cloud, security and analytics aspects of MPS engagements.” The report also commends Ricoh’s ability to serve the SMB sector, thanks in part to its channel network and Ricoh WorkPlace+ service.
Fernandes adds: "Ricoh’s well established MDS are based on a global standard engagement model which delivers a cohesive approach to customer engagement. Global harmonisation has been a mainstay across the past few years; however, the company has remained nimble, through a flexible approach that empowers each region to build service solutions tailored to the specific needs of the local market.”

David Mills, CEO, Ricoh Europe, comments: "Being recognised by Quocirca as a leader in MPS for eight years running is both a compliment and testament to our customer focus. Providing customers with a dependable, flexible and secure service forms the foundation of a digitally empowered workplace. We look forward to helping new and existing customers flourish into the digital age."

*Research conducted in the UK, France, Germany and the US, amongst 200 enterprises with 500 or more employees that already use a managed print service. For the purposes of this research, organisations with 500 to 999 employees are referred to as midmarket organisations and those with over 1,000 employees as large organisations.
