Fogra certifies Ricoh Pro™ VC70000 to highest industry standards
Continuous feed inkjet system conforms to ISO 12647-8 standard
Ricoh Europe, London, 01 March 2022 – The Ricoh Pro VC70000 is the only market available continuous feed inkjet press to hold prestigious Fogra Validation Printing System (VPS) certification. The recognition confirms compliance with the industry’s highest standards and delivers client confidence in its ability to produce excellent print consistently and repeatedly.
Fogra is the leading research centre for the printing industry. Fogra VPS stringent testing assesses if systems that produce a hard copy validation print, directly from digital data, conform to the ISO 12647-8 standard. It considers a broad range of criteria including proofing, substrate colour and gloss, colour accuracy, light fastness, and compliance with the PDF/X standard.
Fogra approved the Ricoh Pro VC70000 for conforming to the ISO 12647-8 standard in two different printing conditions:
- Fogra59 (updated Exchange Colour Space for large colour gamut printers).
- Fogra51 (for ISO 12647-2:2013 printing on Premium Coated paper).
The recognition for the Ricoh Pro VC70000 follows Fogra certifications for the Ricoh Pro™ C9200, Ricoh Pro™ C7200 and Ricoh Pro™ C5300 colour sheetfed presses.
Ricoh’s Customer Experience Centre, in Telford, UK, received FograCert ProcessStandard Digital (PSD) PrintCheck Digital certifications with the Ricoh Pro VC70000. The 12-month certification certifies Ricoh’s colour accuracy capability and print run consistency according to Fogra PSD specifications – ISO/TS 15311-2.
